Shadows of Twilight

In the shadows of twilight
you will find me waiting for you
to come bring the light back to my life
and see me through to the truth

when you come to take me home
don't be frightened by the darkness that surrounds
for you carry the light that warms all souls
that linger in this barren land

then you will see me in the shadow of a tree
shivering throughout from the haunting chill
wanting the warmth that will finally free
my soul from all the evil within my vulnerable shield

you will come and shun off all darkness
and you will reach out your hand
i will take it, you will lead me to rest
then i will wake with no more pain

angel of light come rescue me
from the haunting darkness
that has enveloped me in insanity
in pain, in sorrow, in misery
