Slipping Flower

by Hind   May 6, 2008

I held this flower not long ago
A beauty I planned to pursue
It felt as if I had everything
Perfection had been virtue

This flower brought me euphoria
As its beauty was full of demure
Its power to enchant was evident
Its simple being had me allured

Its presences is slipping slowly
Its soul seems to have disappeared
The beauty it once contained
Is fading away now, I fear

Now it seems distant from me
The botany, familiar, it is not
Everything I had once known
It seems to be, I have forgot

The petals are beginning to wilt
Yet I embraced it with a grasp
Im losing this flower, I feel it
Is this destiny, perhaps?

Oh, hind this is so beautiful. I love the wording, and i love this stanza.

Now it seems distant from me
The botany, familiar, it is not
    Everything I had once known
It seems to be, I have forgot

i dont know how you intended it to be but when i read that, it has so much hidden meaning.

    well done, love you!
