Waves crash
my heart beats
my emotions thrash
my soul flees

my imagination soars
a sickening feeling
shaking my own core
ending a new beginning

bad or good
whatever you give me
it'll be just what it should
but not always what i need

every word i read
every breath i breath
it helps only one need
but gives me hope to believe

though in this world
hope is not enough
not for any boy or girl
to make it through you must be tough

prepare for rejection
but walk with confidence - yes or no
