Confectioner's Paradise ((land of lies))

by StandStill   May 6, 2008

Luminescent bubbles
float on lillac breeze
ne'er have there been days,
days as sweet as these

Artificial sugar,
heavily coated veneer
silent cries go undisturbed
falling upon a deaf ear

Gorgeous are the lies
that coat the cotton-candy air
and blessed are the liars
who keep them floating there

Of course she's not ok,
why would you even ask?
but digging through the sugar-coat,
it's not an easy task

Watch the sunset flair out
don't bother asking why...
doesn't matter, wouldn't hear her now
all she does is cry

    Wow, gabs.
    another amazing one.
its seems like you always know exactly how i feel.
    especially in this poem.
trying to hide the pain under all those layers of "sugar"

    I love it gabs!

Reading your poems always makes me feel so much better!

I love reading them and seeing how they get better every single time.
(Although I don't know how you're gonna top this one!)

    Keep writing,
    And if you can,
    Write one for me!
