Even though

by Brad Quammen   May 6, 2008

Even though you're never here, you always are
Even though you're never close,I can smell you
Even though I haven't known you long,I have
Even though I'm afraid of love,I'm not of you
Even though we have our differences,we are one
Even though I push you away, you never move
Even though I walk the path of sadness and self-pity,
you stray me from that path

You are my angel,my flower,my priceless gem
Were you the sun and I the moon, there would be no day nor night, just you and I forever more my love

Very sweet poem, the repetition of "even though" was very strong and it created a flow in the poem which made it even better than it already is.

"Even though I push you away, you never move"

I love this part, and I never will.
