Shattered Mirror

by forever fallen smiles   May 7, 2008

Oh shattered mirror show me what is real.
For I was once whole but ever since you fell,
There is an empty hole.
I'm picking up your pieces hoping to find,
What I am missing inside.
I'm picking up your pieces hoping
I will find who I am.
Discard the past and never look back,
That is where my troubles lay.
Erase my empty hopes,
For they will never happen.
They just mislead me
And bring me to a place of sorrow.
A place I don't want to be.
My shattered mirror show me where the light lays
I'm tired of finding my comfort in the shadows.
For here I am unseen, my screams silenced.
I want to be heard, I don't want to fall.
I don't want the past to repeat.
My shattered mirror I can only see what you reflect?
Will you ever be whole again, so I can see the whole truth?
