Fears

To be honest I am not even close to strong,
My fears hold me back,
Unable to get over them.
Some person hurt me terribly,
And I hid.
Disappointed myself and family once,
And I hid.
Afraid to stand out because I might get hurt
Afraid to step out of the crowd because I might fail myself.
Not sure of myself, always second guessing
Because it might leave an unforgettable scar on my soul
Afraid to let anyone in,
Because I am afraid to be broken beyond repair.
I’m not strong because my fears make me weak.
