Numb--

For the First day since you I'm not numb-
Usually I'm just numb-Numb from love
and numb from pain I numb myself from
the hole you left in my heart- But
not today, today I felt something, it wasn't
much but I could feel it there- pushing from
behind your pain you left me with to the
front of my heart- it was happiness.
Not much, just enough to remind me that
there is more to this life than just you. There
is something out there for me, and now that
I'm not numb I'm going to find it- I will
embrace it-like you wouldn't do to me.
I am going to hold onto it for dear life and
never let go. I will never do what you did
I will never give up- without a fighting chance.
I fight for the things I love. I would do anything
for the things that mean the most to me.
Unlike you I care for the things I love-
So don't come back to me--
Because for the first time I'm not Numb.
