To Have A Baby

I want to have a baby,
I would be so proud,
I long to have a family,
But I'm not allowed.

To feel the baby there,
To feel his little kick,
To know what it's like to have him,
And feel a little sick.

But dreams turn to dust,
Hopes fade away,
Today turns to never,
And tomorrow another day.

It's hard to think I want him,
But this will never be,
And no matter how much I want it,
He may never be inside of me.

So sleep, my baby, sleep,
Just wait quietly for the day,
You're finally allowed to meet your mummy,
