Sing a song of silence ((and you'll hear a lonely heart))

by StandStill   May 8, 2008

Silence sings a lovely tune
Perfection at its peak
A capella loneliness
hollow words, the only she can speak

Blank stares at blank pages
unfamiliar scenes whir by
dried up all too long ago
invisible tears are the only ones she can cry

Swimming in the ocean
while burning in the desert's sun
deaf heart never hears itself
beat, it's the final one

Crosses her heart and hopes to die
so simple now, wouldn't it be?
shattered lies scatter on the wind
too bad, there's no truth to set free

Sing a song of silence
punctuate each sorrowful melody
laughter bursting forth, unwanted
sorrowful song, sorrowful heart, so lonely
