Hardships

by EclipsesChick   May 9, 2008

Say what you want, do what
you will. Have a laugh and take
your fill. No time to explain why
its time to part. Cannot say it ended
when it barely had a start.

If you are done with me I
understand. Never should have
taken your hand. No more tears
to cry or words to be spoken,
empty hearts are already broken.

Memories a far distant cry away,
as well as the perfect image of your
face. I cannot stay here any longer;
without you, slowly, I grow stronger.

Keep breathing, hold in a shudder.
You yell words that should be muttered.
Hands over my ears, block out the noise.
Keep my composure, keep my poise.

Silence. Blink back the tears, swallow
your pride and all you hold dear.
