SHOOTING STAR

by katie T Scott   May 9, 2008

She came falling from the clouds that day
In flames of pearly white
The poor little child who pulled her mothers hair
Grew up to love the night

Streaking down from the heavens like an arrow
From the bow of a haloed saviour
Surrounded by an aurora of glory
Said "child you've done us a favour"

I don't think she knew what hit her
When she found she was walking in the skies
She was always a cunning artist
And found it easy to tell those lies

She fell back down to earth in a world of hell
She been there the night before
Selling herself in a glimmer of red
Just to make a little more

Teetering down the cobbles of adulthood
At the age of just eleven
Not such a difference except her broken feathers
Because the angels threw her out of heaven
