Remember

I remember the first time I saw you again,

The way I froze when I first saw you,

When you wrapped your arms around me,

It was like no one was around us... just you and me.

I remember going to sleep with you,

Telling you that I love you,

Waking up the next morning,

And seeing that you were still there.

I remember that day when we said I do,

For better or for worse,

Through sickness and in health,

A feeling that can't be explained in just one word.

I remember our last day together,

Cherishing ever moment that we had left,

To know that it'd be a while before we saw each other again,

Then we said I love you to each other and our goodbyes.

I remember the way you would wrap your arms around me,

That warm and comforting feeling,

That would make me forget about everything,

And I turn around and you're not there..

I remember those moments we had together,

When you laid next to me in the dark,

Talking about the past, what if's and about the future,

And I look next to me and you're not there.

Now all i can think is about the next time,

The next time I'll see you again,

Have those arms around me once again,

To be able to look into your eyes.

To hold you in my arms,

And tell you how much I love you,

Let you know how much I missed you,

And how I don't wanna let you go.

Until then all i can do is wait...

.... and remember.
