It is written this is the day when a mother is 'recognized' by a single day in her year
That day being today May 11th, set aside for you to be lauded for the love you share.......
....but sweetheart, I recognize you every single day of my life - you are irreplaceable.
As you lay beside me, not a single day dawns when my eyes do not search for you
Nor does a day dawn when I forget to give silent thanks for the life you lovingly share
On this day no flower will ever look more beautiful than you - my love, the rarest of all flowers
As you lie there in your dreams my private paradise is being here beside my angel of wonder.
During years of my youth this day held no real significance; to me it was simply another day
Excepting for an unknown happening, nothing would change from the 364 other days -
Now, having you 'as my life' my heart is filled with happiness; contentment and an abundance of joy
Should clouds gather in anger and fill our lives full of rain; thunder and lightning - here the sun will shine.
