She wanted to fly
She wanted to soar
Among the birds
She wanted to fly
She wanted to dance
Upon the clouds
She wanted to fly
She wanted to look
Down on the earth
She had to let go
She had to drop down

She moved in the breeze
Her body was shouting
I’m ready, let’s go!
She looked to the sky
She looked down below
She stretched out her wings
And then she let go
She began the descent
She closed her eyes
And waited to fly
But the impact was there
She looked down one last time
She said goodbye
