Shadows outlined as silhouettes,
Light falters as the sun begins to set.
Every night minds howled for release,
from the thoughts that once gripped them.
No one made them as lonely,
as their secrets once condemned.
They all thought that light was faster than anything,
yet once again they were wrong.
It was the darkness that got there first,
the shadows there all along.
Here they come again,
here they are welcome.
