Branded a Traitor

by she   May 11, 2008

I carved a T into my hip
A bleeding letter upon my skin
A scar that will mark me forever
A beautiful creation made by me and my razor
This T is for traitor,
Because a traitor is what I am
I profess I love him,
Our dear lord above,
But yet I see his word,
And can't seem to fit it
My prayers have become simply two words short
I'm sorry
Can't say nothing more
Refuse to say anything less,
I'm a traitor,
I see it everyday in the mirror
And now I have guided my razor, to brand me as one forever.

[true story, I'm sick, I know]

    Great poem :o

i liked the symbolism in it :) i found like 3 or 4 different meanings when i was reading it :D..in my opinion poetry shouldnt have just one meaning...it should have several tp make it an interesting/suspenseful read

    good job
