Time

by Orchid Man   May 11, 2008

The wall clock ticks on relentlessly as the minute hand moves around its face
Time means nothing to this manufactured timepiece but to me, time with you is everything
A summer sky without a cloud of decoration would be like my life without you by my side
Were you not my every morning hope; my own inbuilt clock - my heart - would cease beating.

Perhaps my comprehension is melodramatic; just perhaps, my words express thoughts too strongly
But I am me and I can only pen my words onto paper in my own fashion and no one else's.....
....I can't write words to you expressing my feelings using another person's thoughts
Orchid Lady, imagine a world without you or a world without days or nights - without time!

I could not leave home and lovingly say, "See you later honey," because there would be no later
How could anyone set a time for an appointment - time is time and it just couldn't be accomplished
Time spent with you is time I yearn for; without you my life has no meaning; I lose all sense of direction!
Would we grow old together yet not understand the passing of time? - Time is our ever-present master.

Should you ask, "What does time and love have in common?" Simply put, time is the life we spend together
From that first smile; that first caress, my life began with you and that wall clock has never missed one beat
As night and day live side by side you and I share a togetherness that today is envied by many people
When you were born I feel certain Heaven sent me a future angel - sweetheart you make my life complete.
