The Moon

by Capri   May 11, 2008

It hides its own secrets,
And doesn't know why,
It doesn't understand,
What are humans? And why?

It doesn't know hope,
It doesn't know love,
It can't understand faith,
When it's stuck up above.

Yet it watches the humans,
The people with joy,
The ones with a family,
A school and a home.

It sees ones without them,
That struggle with life,
Who end themselves quickly,
Too weak for the strife.

It sees the young children,
So innocent with glee,
But as they grow older,
They're no longer free.

What was it that changed them?
The people in this world,
Bad memories? Lost family?
Bitter secrets unfurled?

The moon hovers siliently,
Watching below,
Always waiting... just waiting,
For their hope to grow.
