Blind in the Darkness

by Briie   May 12, 2008

Can I tell you a secret?
That has been hidden for years,
Something so dark and twisted,
That the thought can bring tears.

A girl; broken,
A soul without hope.
Afraid of the darkness,
When at night she must cope.

With the sounds of a haunting,
And sights not to be seen.
Able to see them and hear them,
Because her senses are keen.

Every night they torture her still,
Come morning bruises appear,
Blood soaked sheets,
But she shed not a single tear.

Her mother worries,
Her father enraged.
Something is inside of her,
A dark spirit is caged.

With Holy Water drowned sheets,
And salt sprinkled on the floor,
A kiss good night from her mother,
And a creak from the closing door.

An evil laugh is filled with success,
Pain comes, like a knife with no delay.
Slashed through her skull, and body more,
What ever did she do for this pay?

Shadows moving toward her,
With anguish upon their mind,
She cannot what they do,
For in the darkness she is blind.

No more with she go through this!
Suffering for all of her life.
'It is better to die' she thought,
And raised the metal knife.

She took one last look,
At the spirits that were always there,
She brought down the knife willingly,
A suicide with out a care.
