She lived through hell

by Crystal   May 12, 2008

Looking at her now you couldn't tell.
That poor child has lived through hell.
Many guessed but no one knew,
Why the bruises always looked new.

Behind the lies she worked to hide.
Laying there, She was trapped inside.
With no escape, Just keep on going.
Trying to live her life.

Born at the end of April,
A beautiful baby girl.
Brown hair, Brown eyes.
Full or color. Full of life.

He came when she was two.
Then you couldn't tell but,
Now its more clear.
He was the one to fill her with fear.

At four her brother died.
If you watched her closely,
Sometimes you will see a tear fall
And she'll start to cry.

Not for you, All for him.
The protector of the games
And middle of her world.
Smile, but don't laugh at her.

It was a leap to turn eight
And she decided to play first base.
Hitting a homerun she won,
the championship game.

Seventh grade she turned 12,
The basketball team was her next plate.
Starting at post, She did great.
Like a unfortold fate.

15 she joined band,
But can't remember when she knew,
Her life wouldnt be the same again.
Was it a mistake?

11th grade she talked to him.
Long hair, Brown eyes and E.
She liked him, but he couldnt see.
Dance, Dance was all it would be.

Senior year came around
And so did he.
The boy who caught her eye,
She just didn't know.

When she did, It didn't take long.
Soon her father yelled all night long.
As hard as it would be,
She had to be set free.

At 17 she made the choice,
She wanted to change it all.
It was becoming more then she could take.
No looking back as fate took place.

She couldn't take living a lie,
For him she didn't want to hide,
Everything going on and
Truely, why she crys.

Looking at her now you couldn't tell.
But that poor child has lived through hell.
Many guessed but no one knew,
Why the bruises always looked so new.

Behind the lies she worked to hide.
Laying there, She was trapped inside.
With no escape, Just keep on going.
Trying to live her life and move on.

No one saw it coming,
Until it just happened.
The truth came out
In a small town.

A releif for some who always knew,
She was dieing inside and coming soon,
Would be the end of her.
Nothing new.

Behind it all he was the one,
Who took her childhood away.
I know, fun fun?
What did she do?

She was only nine and
It all began.
Taking seven years to understand
Thats not how life is suppose to be.

She lived through hell and came out.
Trying to let go of the past.
Fighting for a freedom she never really had.
Growing up... It was really bad.
