I blame you ((but i kinda sorta don't))

by StandStill   May 12, 2008

I wonder why you don't see it,
see these tears upon my face
just a reminder of these failures
every single fall from grace

I wonder if you'll read this,
leave me a comment or two
tell me that it's all my fault,
the blame never seems to rest on you

I wonder if you heard me
when i told you i'd said it all
i actually did mean it, i'm out of words
echoing in my head are the names they call

I wonder if you hate me,
just a little bit,
think about it hard enough,
i'm sure that's the problem we'll hit

I don't blame you, no,
i would hate me too,
i'm pretty sure i told you
that by the end that's what you'd do

But sometimes we learn the hard way
then we write a poem about the times
the times when tears weren't upon our faces
and upon our wrists weren't crimes

But obviously you won't read this,
if you do i may never know
hope that somewhere in there,
you see that this as low as i go

Just one more word of wisdom
this clock is running out
you were the last one left to trust
not sure how i'm going to live without

** I would say I'm sorry, but you wouldn't believe it anyway**
