Dear Grandma,

I know you can't hear me,
And I never got to know you,
But I knew you were great.
A single mother to two adoring men.
You took care of them till the very end.

Today is your birthday,
May 13 2008,
And you would have been 88,
But cancer took you away.

I never got to know you,
And you never got to know me.
But I knew that I would love you,
But cancer had to take you away.

All those stories that I've heard,
About how you were,
Just makes me wish I could have met you.
But sadly cancer took you away.
