Little Notes

by xoOrdinaryGirlox   May 12, 2008

Back in the days, carefree and wild
Classrooms full of laughter and tears
Isn't it amazing the affect on a child,
From a little piece of paper and pencil

For one in particular, lonely and afraid
Such surroundings seem frightful
Animosity and fear is all that's portrayed
A child's mind is like a sponge, absorbing it all.

Back and forth to every child in the room
Little Notes of paper being passed along
She's freakish, she's unnatural they all assume
Such opinions kept hushed, just written on paper.

Paper though, can get into the wrong hands
Just that day, a teacher took the note and began reading
Darting out of the room, it's all too much to withstand
Out of the building, into the road, not looking, not caring

BANG!

The sounds of sirens filling the air,
A precious life of a little girl brutally taken
A shadow appears from her, out of nowhere
To the skies above, safe but most of all...
Free.

So sad, but so true. notes like that can leave a heart broken. very good work, but just short of a five. maybe 4.5?
