Sing (It'll Be Okay)

by Ixora   May 12, 2008

One more chance? asked he delighted
Frightened, terrified, no more rejected
I held him tight, I held him true
Said I'm the only one for you

But deep in my heart laid the pain
Of times of laughter, oh never again
To kiss or hold i see it reeling
That never once more will we share such feeling

P.S. i care, i swear it too
Never will i do those things to you
The letter he used match the paper cuts
Across the arms, across the lots

The cars that ran, hit me hard
Taught me to never let down a guard
Driving was his smile,his touch
Asking so little, taking so much

I give up now. Sure they win
I cannot fight nor deny my sin
Smoke held in my hand, my power
Disguise my failure, how i cower

Down i laid upon the grass
Only to find four walls of mass
No windows out of which i can see
Nor change the things I'll always be

One more chance? asked he delighted
And i said no, i could not fight it
In my grave i listen and cry
For the song he sings with every lie.

sing..sing...it'll be okay.
sweet boy sing..it'll be okay.
