Glory

by Amber Rosser   May 13, 2008

As the canon is roaring
The bodies and blood are pouring
Lives are lost and families pay the cost
A war our soldiers are fighting for
The red, white and blue flag is what they bore

Bang, bang the shots are fired
Our soldiers are getting tired
They're dropping one by one
The glory in life, they have just done

Standing for liberty and justice for all
Little did they know it was their day to fall
Mourning families, children with no dad
I will never know the strength those men had

Glory achieved in their wonderful lives
Left only a medal and memories for their wives
They were great men with hearts of gold
They served their country till their blood ran cold
