How to save a life saver

by StandStill   May 13, 2008

What happens when the life saver
is drowning in the sea?
What do we tell her,
to prove to her beauty?

Such a little girl,
trying to be strong,
crimson tears thundering around,
feeling worthless, don't belong

Cries out against her pain,
thinks her sins define her
can you see her covering her ears?
a different kind of cardiac seizure

"I'm sorrys" spill out onto paper
bled into keyboards black,
she doesn't want to be this way,
just wants the sunshine back

Every moment painful,
reality tiptoeing down her spine
feels addiction on her neck,
but still claims that she's just fine

Little does she know,
she's stronger than she thinks,
this choice is in her weary hands,
oh, dearest, swim or sink?

Please, tell me what happens,
when the life saver doesn't know what to do
I promise to dive in for her,
oh, lovely promise destined to hold true

**To my life saver. Sweetie, you're stronger than you know. don't give up, and i won't. i love you like a sister, hunny. always and forever**
