Their Shadows cast on sands beside you, beside me.

by Prasad Baadkar   May 14, 2008

Three steps stride not more than three
Bare feet I have seen you walk towards sea
Up Above two seagulls sing merry, fly free
Their Shadows cast on sands beside you, beside me.

Paths of seashells so counches kiss this marooned shore
Crimsoned waves come and go as you keep count, one more
Horizons play aurora by the sinking sun
Their Shadows cast on sands beside you, beside me.

A word scribbled than another, first comes a name than two
Next follows a curved figure until a heart be made
One for me, one for my prince you say will do
Their Shadows cast on sands beside you, beside me.

And as you gaze upon, waves march, dreams erase
All fun is lost, as a sigh and frown take on smiles place.
Screams talk loud at times echoes silent otherwise
Their Shadows cast on sands beside you, beside me.

Tears know no language they just fall out of eyes skies
As I hold you child and your tears I wipe
Each time we walk the shores and again it's names we write
Their Shadows cast on sands beside you, beside me.

By the same seashores and waves your tiny feet have walked
Followed the sun into seas bosom and with darkness we have talked
And by the same Moonlight wishes we make on the stars
Their Shadows cast on sands beside you, beside me.
