Nightshade

by Wings Of Flames   May 14, 2008

One day we'll meet again,
Our pathes will form to cross,
Until then I'm not a witness,
But the victim of this loss,

Hands were made for holding,
To build, cherish and share,
A sacrifice I've made tonight,
For this I couldn't bare,

The mind is our canvas,
An emotional changing sheath,
My God be my saviour now,
Help me to find relief,

Although I am no Holy man,
This night I did pray,
Please help me to observe,
I will not live out this day,

Tonight the moon paints my skin,
And I kiss you goodbye,
Although you think it's temporary,
I held the urge to cry,

Swinging in a silent dance,
A began to plunge into fate,
My neck tightened on the branches,
Until I reached this humble state,

The morning rose and I shadowed,
But you did not see,
Were you blind to my love?
Or were you blind to me?

It was okay, I felt, but I've read much better by you. I think my favorite stanza was the second one, followed by the first. I felt this piece was good at the beginning, but then lost its power, as most pieces do. I think the last line of the last stanza, should read:

'Or were you just blind to me?'

    Instead of:

'Or were you blind to me?'

I look forward to your next piece, and hope that its more like your usual work.
