Love

It’s a funny thing
I’ve never been in love
I’ve never known that guy
Who was sent from up above

I’ve read your great poems
About love and despair
And how your broken hearts
Can be so hard to repair

Well I have to admit
I’ve had a crush
I’ve been ‘in like’
But never had that rush

The rush of love
Which you all talk about
Is that one thing sweet
That I have never felt
