This Forever Kind of Love

by MissSideways   May 14, 2008

I wrote this piece at a point in my life where I thought this one boy i was dating for nearly 2 years was IT. the sh1t. the pea to my pod. the real mckoy. the O.N.E. he broke up with me the same week i wrote this. he shattered my heart and left me hanging by a thread: one end in his unfaithful hand and the other attached to my stupid, blind, 18 year old heart. So, with this in mind, feel my heart break in every word of 'This Forever Kind of Love'... thanks for reading,
Dani

I promise never to put you through the pain, not anymore.
I will not walk away for you to watch helplessly as my back disappears over the horizon.
You will not shed any more tears, or have reason to question whether this was ever worth it.
I will never pack my things, only bring more to your life, enriching it and flourishing in this love.
You never have to worry because you are my only one, so do not worry anymore,
I have eyes for only you.
Like a baby to a mother, I am drawn to you with an unspoken, intense love for you that will never truly die. No matter how much you hurt me.
I will put a ring on your finger and you on mine,
never again to remove them for there will be no reason to.
It's just you, me and this forever kind of love.

The feeling in this poem are very well displayed. It's as if I can actually see the love. Very nicely written. Continue to write. <3
