The Weaping Willow

The Weeping Willow
By: Alex Mckerns

This willow sits all alone,
Nothing comes from it.
Not even a groan.

Others will try to play,
But no,
It will just ignore and go about its day.

Its branches hang low,
Its leaves fall down,
Nothing to do.
Nothing around.

It sits day by day
Night by night
Keeping to itself
It may give you a fright.

Nothing can make this great tree come arise,
Not a gesture, nor laugh,
Not even a great surprise.

This tree feels so empty,
So lonely, and sad.
All adventures missed out from the great year he had.

What words unspoken from this great young boy,
He speaks nothing-no one will adore.

But worry not,
His day shall come.
No more shall he be known,
As the,
Young weeping willow.
