Run, as fast as you can...((catch the point))

by StandStill   May 15, 2008

When did we become
little gingerbread men?
always running away from something
never any truth to lend

When did we fall into this-
this sickening habit of lies?
"I'm just fine, why thank you"
you say it as you cry

Why does the high always end
this amazing feeling of life
maybe breath by breath ain't good enough,
maybe we're only worthy of a knife

Who are we crying for,
car-crash hearts, flashing at the scene
please tell me what's the point of this
nobody's understanding what i mean

Oh yes, I speak in metaphors,
and it's true, you speak in lies,
oh, what do we do now, dear,
when all that's left is to cry?
