Heart Tells the Way

by Richard Machado   May 15, 2008

Love is
We can be
We can try
Being we
We cannot try
Loving just is
We can show
We can try to show
We can try to be
We cannot try to be in
Love carries
Over obstacles
We can
We can try
Hard tussling
Fussing, not cussing
Hopefully never
See ever bad weather
Hopefully, we will
See it only turn better
Sleep is allowed?
Tired eyes sag;
Bringing us down?
No matter
We're a fatter
Platter, no one can
Spatter
With flower tossing taunts
Or fancy looking fonts
Gravy baby
No worries
Should you suffer
It gets tougher
But know either way
It's all okay
Happiness comes
From within you
See that it's true
Love reaches
Over land bridges
Salty seas vast
But you conquer
By stepping hard
And pushing fast
Anti-future you
Aside--by reading
The beauty in your life
Wherever you reside
Float free
The world is yours
To see
The world is free
To whatever you
Or, whoever you
Are clear to be
Love flies
Never ties
Never dries
Never lies
And only cries
From wind in eyes
From soaring fast
So free
Love in-heart
In-hand with sand
Here I stand
Statue for your lift-off
Cloud for your flight
I stand here a
Bright star for your night
Stardust for your good luck
A bottle for your water
And a sole for your soft-step
Tread in me
I'm here to be
Your warmth for your cold
Skin and bone
The voice in the phone
So you don't feel alone

Baby I loved this poem a lot and I don't feel alone even when we talk on the phone and I'm very much in love with you. I know we can get through the obstacles and know that it will be hard but we can try and succeed :)
