When Two Hearts Collide

by Curing the Comon Cliche   May 15, 2008

Sirens screaming
Through rain's glass wall
Rain dilutes your point of view
Through it you grasp it all

Can you grasp the twisted metal?
As the ambulance lights explode
Ignite the falling raindrops
Burning holes on the road

The slow down of the wittiness cars
Contradicts their heats' pace
As the quickened pounding grows
Please witness his last race

I'm sorry for the metaphor
For there is no car crash
The twisted metal illusion
The ambulance light flash

I'm sorry for this metaphor
I know how you despise
But this car crash was far too fitting
Twisted metal, when hearts collide

You think nobody else understands it.
    and you're wrong.
you speak in metaphors i speak in lies...
    it works out.

the poem's wonderful. i'm sure it broke her heart to read it.
