Provocative

by Ares   May 15, 2008

In a future,
of old democracy,
in a field of,
yellow straws & mystery.

the news said rain but we're getting sun,
and a little spot on how the football went down,
then a little segment on how bombs go off,
when the people were waiting for the forty-five.

I'm getting lost in the pictures,
of a man not broken.

when will we,
make love instead of war?
when will we,
savour the taste of peace?

the news said flowers when they meant to say bang,
I see smoke rising from a burning tower,
and the goverment thinking how could this happen,
it's just a product of provocative thought.

I'm getting lost in the havens,
of burning hope.

Wow. Wow. Wow. This is such a great poem, definitely would make an amazing song. You need to team up with a musician or something....magnificent! I love the contrast of all of the thoughts put into it...it's just pleasing in every way. Great job!
