“……………………………..”…what a tragic end to a exceptionally tedious short story, is this seriously what the English department is giving us these days stories of “….”, “…” and “…” but of course. Well, seen as I am new here let me introduce myself; the name’s Estelle Hertz(try saying that out loud), blonde, 6 foot 10, leggy and full of shit, but I guess that’s the joy of fiction, or the idea anyway. Making up stories to distract the reader from their real life, but as you can see the Aboriginals lived their lives telling stories, this particular time was called the dream time, they got so wrapped up in their stories they didn’t notice when the British invaded. Okay now lets ponder on a setting (and when I saw lets, the abbreviation of let us, I mean I, bearing in mind teachers can’t help in exams, yet they wonder up and down the isles looking like they intend to help at any attempt from a student to catch their attention and ask a question however they always reply with the same staged response “sorry just read it and interpret it the way you think it means” a line they got taught in their teaching course back in their uni years? It wouldn’t surprise me) so here is my well thought out setting for my story, that I came up with without glancing at other pupils works, bribing a teacher or plagiarizing from any previous written text. A quiet exam hall, not unlike the one I sit in now, now that I think about it quite much like it, I wonder if you can plagiarize a setting, if so wellahh. That’s French for there you go, so now that I’ve added an extra dimention to my English exam and chucked some French in there too, I think a few bonus marks might do the trick. Ok now lets sit here for a good ten minutes because that just sounds like good fun.

Now that I’ve introduced myself properly I think its time for a problem to occur, well I think I have run out of things to write, does that count as a problem? Well it is so I guess it would do, now I guess the resolution to that would be me thinking of something to write, and the previous statement would be one of my series of events, however I’m guessing having an introduction four times the size of your conflict, series of events, resolution and conclusion would be frowned on in the English half yearly.

Event, events, events….. now I am regretting my choice of setting, I would argue it is realistic and not as cliché as many of my classmates “his name was bob he lived in a house” short stories. I am starting to think not much ‘realistically’ happens in an exam room….oh wait I take that back, Ms.hooverville just picked her nose, you go nanna dig deep, gross I think she was hungry. Oh shoot I think she caught me staring, quickly look away Britt!
Now that I am faced down looking at my paper and only at my paper to avoid any more potentially awkward teacher/student moments.

I think I reached my resolution looking up at my page, it was only one and a half paragraphs and 15 minutes ago that I was faced with the problem of not knowing what to write, I guess I have reached my resolution,

Now I will end with the end, and it seems like a good time to wrap this up as it is the end, the end of the exam that is, so in conclusion I spent a good 20 minutes pondering the idea of writing a short story that would bump me up to a double A class, in the end I decided to do my pondering on paper and as a result I would end up with a page or two that would add up to a story, as we always learnt in maths teacher plus good paper equals A+.
I am hoping I have not taken up much of your time and now that I have got that covered I bid you adieu.
