That Unfortunate Death

by >> Beautifully Mistaken   May 28, 2004

Did you ever think about that girl,
that would walk past,
and you would not even hear a whisper.
She would sit by herself,
and you would think,
thats what she wants.
Did you ever wonder why she always covered her arms?
Did you ever wonder why she was always alone?
No one noticed her,
she was practically invisible,
no one to see her fear.
No one knew her name,
or where she came from,
they only knew her,
as the girl who was never really there.
People would bump into her,
and just walk past,
as if they hadn't seen her in front of them.
One day,
she didn't come to school.
No one noticed,
until a few weeks later,
when a teacher asked where she was.
They rang her parents,
and found out the heartbreaking news.
Two weeks ago,
she killed herself.
They found her hanging on a rope,
with blood pouring down her arms.
They found a note,
addressed to everyone at school.
She said that she could have lived,
if someone had noticed her.
She said she knows no one will cry at her funeral,
because no would even go.
She never knew how wrong she was,
there was not a single person,
that didn't have a tear running down there cheek,
from that unfortunate death.
Only if they showed her,
that they actually cared,
she might not have taken that rope,
and let herself hang there.
