No More Sound

by Alison   May 28, 2004

As I sit in the bathroom,
Tears down my face,
I hear the world go round,
At a fast pace.
Slish, Slash, I hear the scissors against my wrist
Drip, Drip, I hear the tears roll down,
Stop, Nothing,
Then suddenly I hear no sound.
Then slowly I sit up in my bed,
I hear no more tears,
It must have been,
All in my head.
Knock Knock, there's someone at the door,
I open it slowly,
I hear some soft words,
Mum says she rang the doctor,
I hear myself asking "Why, I am not sick?"
"It happened last night."
I try to remember, but I cannot think.
"Do you not remember?"
"It was you, you lost your temper"
I lie back down
I've given up now
And now,
I hear no more sound
