Years slipping by

by Ann Stareyes   May 16, 2008

Where do the years go
slipping by so fast
age creeping upon me
beauty I still grasp.

Gazing into the mirror
a wrinkle here and there
just a few more aches and pains
a little gray in my hair.

The big 5-0 is approaching
Beauty I still see
Thank God for make up and hair dye
A half century for me.

Finally accepting
The things I can't change
being proud of who I am
Loving life just the same.

So as long as I think I'm beautiful
it matters not what others think
Self confidence is the key
I'm simply a beautiful woman I think!

Note to my friend Bob: You're still older than me....hahahaha
