Drip, Drip

Drip, Drip.
Wake up in the morning
brush my teeth and wash my face.
Look up in the mirror
just another horrid day.

On my way to school
cold winter morning.
The bells already rung
many people swarming.

Drip, Drip
Sitting here in class
I start to zone out.
I begin to have bad thoughts
can't make them go away now.

Drip, Drip.
I finally got home
go straight to my room.
Another disappointment
coming very soon.

Opened the front door
standing there very still.
Already spoken words
you begin to spill.

Hearing everything said
just wanting to believe.
Know it's all a lie
just one more deceit.

Drip, Drip.
Walk right in my house
yellings all thats heard.
Hit to the face; on the ground
another lesson learned.

Sorrowful had turned to anger
and anger turned to rage.
Don't know what to do
trapped in a cage.

Scared, so silent
giving in gets so easy.
Calmness arises
showing sympathy.

Drip, Drip.
Everything so quiet
once again all alone.
Turn the bath water on
disconnect the phones.

Bath water running
so many things left unsaid.
As I get in
cold, clear water turns red.

Becoming still; no movement
arms hanging over the side.
Blood slowly crashing down
nothing left to hide.

Drip, Drip.

Thanks for taking the time to read my poem. I hope you like it.
