I'm sorry ((i don't shine))

by StandStill   May 16, 2008

I think that i should say one thing,
Apologize in advance,
Apologize for two left feet,
in this sickening littlel dance

I'm sorry I won't ever be
that amazing girl you think i am
i'm sorry i can't verbalize,
that i can never take a stand

No, I'm not a peaceful person,
but yes, I hate to fight,
don't you love my contradictions?
I do, they keep me up at night

Why don't I want to sleep?
because i don't want to dream i failed
don't want to spring unto the dock,
to find the boat has already sailed,

And now i'm rambling on,
this poem no longer has a reason,
I'm sorry I'm not good enough,
that i don't shine like the sun

You shine as lovely and as beautiful as two of the fairest stars of all the heavens, even if I don't quite know you as well as I'd like, but through your poetry, much is revealed... and that is honesty and vividness, beauty and intelligence and much, much more. :)

Keep a safe eye out, most people don't reveal the truth because they're afraid of your reaction. :)

You last line reminded me of a song called The Sun Does Like You.
