The Bloody Balloon & The Crimson Rose

by ViolentlyDisturbed   May 16, 2008

Twisting this tender string in his fingers,

And glancing from side to side

Nervously walking to the place they would meet

She's playing with the leaves,

While she strolls slowly to where they have

Seen each other so many times before

But this time is deferent; he has a gift for her

It is his heart attached to a string

And she is bringing her love,

In every petal of that crimson rose

He turns a bend in the old beaten path that he knows all to well

This was it; he sees his love standing in her white dress

With down cast eyes, and one hand hidden behind her back

Glancing up she sees him,

He swiftly thrusts his arm behind him

A flash of red is all she sees as her love walks toward her

Nervous smiles fill their faces

As they show each other the gifts that they bring

The girl stairs in amazement

As the boy hands her his heart

Still dripping in warm blood

The boy cannot utter a single word

As the girl reveals her love for him

The crimson rose bleeding in his hands

"I thought this would make you happy." Said the girl

"You have made me the happiest boy alive."

He says, no louder then a whisper

And then, he leans in to kiss her
