Sitting Next To You

by ViolentlyDisturbed   May 16, 2008

There she sat, waiting for love to find her
Drenched in a black outlook on life
She paired from behind her bright green eyes
Holding loves last breath, would she die?

He was searching for a heart to love
But he was lost in a lie
Black and white were the colors of the leaves,
That fell beneath his feet, from the trees above

Glancing up from the heart she held out in front of her
She saw behind the scars, and the cuts, a boy she could learn to love
And as he stared into her eyes, he saw more then black and white
He saw her cheeks blush, and heard her laugh, and he loved to see her smile

Now they sit side by side, and they joke, and they laugh
They blush, and they flirt
They talk of their pain, and their hurt
But neither of them say how they truly feel

Day after day they would meat at the same place
And as he tried to tell her so many times how much he cared
The words never seemed to come out

She was waiting for him to tell her
To say anything at all
Just say the word and life could move on

So late one night as they talked
The truth came out
And they were the happiest kids alive
