What lies beneath a thunderstorm

by Stephanie   May 17, 2008

They fall from the heavens
and down to Earth
the teardrops of the gods
sent to give birth

they darken the sky
and cloud up the night
when the gods are sad
they cry down their tears
right out of sight

when the gods get angry
they strike fear in you eyes
they send down the thunder
all through the skies

the lightning comes
from the pain in their souls
it strikes through clouds
with no control

the gods are powerful
they are seen through and through
they shine through the night
they are faithful and true
