We All Lost Someone Dear ( JFK)

A Friday in November
Three shots rang loud and clear
A day we'll all remember
We all lost someone dear

A sixth floor window opened
A man, his brain not truly clear
A bubble top was open
We all lost someone dear

A first lady now is widowed
A nation dripped in tears
The world for him is sorrowed
We all lost someone dear

First off I'd like to say that this is a good topic for a poem. My father used to tell me about that day before, and how everyone knew where exactly they were when this happened.

    "A Friday in November
Three shots rang loud and clear
    A day we'll all remember
    We all lost someone dear"

Perfect imagery here, your painting a clear picture of what happened on that terrible day. I like the fact that you used "We all lost someone dear" at the end of this stanza because its the title of your poem.

    "A sixth floor window opened
A man, his brain not truly clear
    A bubble top was open
    We all lost someone dear"

I also liked the fact that your telling your readers where exactly this man was who shot JFK. And your rhyme scheme is simple but it does its just right for this poem. And again I like your repetition of "We all lose someone dear" your really bringing out the emotion in this. I can feel it through your words.

"A first lady now is widowed
    A nation dripped in tears
The world for him is sorrowed
    We all lost someone dear"

You brought out such honesty in this poem. and such Truth, which is basically honesty but anyways. You really told the history of what happened, not dates but the events which took place. I could actually feel as if I was alive then and there when this happened good poem.

    "A nation dripped in tears
The world for him is sorrowed"

This has to be my favorite line in this whole poem. I've seen videos and from hearing about what happened this is exactly the words that was put. The way you put it just came out beautifully. I may sound like some adolescent just commenting on this poem not actually knowing what happened. But I've heard and I've seen things on this and it made me admire this poem. Good work.

This is so nice you wrote a poem about JFK. Really nice dedicating this to him, and I think the whole world feels like they, too, lost someone dear.

    "A Friday in November
Three shots rang loud and clear
    A day we'll all remember
    We all lost someone dear"

Rhymes perfect, really speaks for itself.
So, great job on this, a wonderful poem remembering him and all he did.
