Tell me whats FAIR
let your words be true
in a world filled with hate
I'd save my breath if i were you
^^ i am currently disagreeing with a lot of people, and the last line made me think of all of them. how they don't want to hear what i have to say...and it was hard to read. i felt like i was being yelled at myself.
One's word can't be FAIR
if one's tongue is split
a simple hiss of a lie
in this world is a even fit
^^ this stanza is great. i loved the third line, i could almost hear the hissing....
with out further ado
my message I'm trying to say
was never meant to cause harm
but the truth can dismay
^^ ahh! you used ado!! for that, you're wonderful. lol. i love poets who use words that aren't as common as other words, simply because it's a challenging thing to do and not enough people take the challenge *myself included*
take a close look around
a child reads what was wrote
a small tear resounds
her mother hangs dead holding a note
^^ this made me want to go find a little kid and hug it...that's so sad and bitter and realistic. this speaks volumes of our society and how easily we give up and leave those we love behind us.
whats FAIR is FAIR
isn't that the truth
dunno about you
i see the devil pulling the strings in this puppet booth
^^ ouch. that's all i can say. i loved the last line...just ouch ouch ouch ouch ouch!! bitter..
looking at the world around you
so tell me whats FAIR
welcome to hell
think they still care?
^^ again, that last line brings hot tears to my eyes. it's such a strong ending.
no. they don't care. they could care less...they're so wrapped up in their own worlds.
overall, wonderful poem. keep up the amazing work.
