Far Away

by lisabrighteyes   May 17, 2008

She's awake, but she has drifted.
Far away, she's been lifted.
To a place that's become her own,
A false reality that no one knows.
A place so pleasant, so dark, so deep.
With walls around, walls so steep.
Walls so nobody can find or see
The scars well covered by her sleeves.
She's so alone, but it's better that way
Loneliness, keeps her hidden away.
Away from the people who made her cry,
Away from the pain and lies.
She's awake, but she has drifted.
Far away, she's been lifted.
