Gift of the Goddess

by eehcuhhhz   May 18, 2008

**Another interpretation from Loveless**

A creature with wings flies above the clouds;
Obsession engraved within its mind.
The mortal heads upon the heavens,
Wishing the Gift of the Goddess it will find.

The present in itself is a puzzle,
A riddle many would love to solve.
Until the mystery is unraveled,
The being refuses to evolve.

As the wicked haunts him day by day,
The past torments him by the hour.
There will come a time it will depart;
Its venom this beast will empower

Death will not stop it, nor fire or rain,
For this roaming spirit knows no ease.
Its heart hardened by years and time.
Yet this spirit's purpose it will seize.

Loveless [Act I]

Infinite mystery is the gift of the goddess
We seek it thus, and take it to the sky
Ripples form on the water's surface
The wandering soul knows no rest
