The Final End

by WiltingWallFlower   May 18, 2008

I tried to change the world
Make perfection a reality
But it seems my quest has failed
Out on the streets we fought
Only to be crushed down
What started out as my idea
Quickly escalated to much more
Eliminate the inferior race
To achieve this much desired perfection
With my country behind me
My people backing me
My goal seemed in reach
But today I have realized
Perfection is unattainable
With my gun in one hand
And my pill of poison in the other
I will find my perfection
In the arms of my Lord
I fought for justice
I fought against them
Just as Jesus Christ fought
I look at my beautiful wife
Her blonde hair takes me to summer
She is my oasis in this desert
Together we'll leave this life
Together we'll enter into the next
Here in this bunker
Right on this couch
We gaze at each other
With hands intertwined
She puts the pill to her mouth
I shut my eyes
Lift the gun to my head
I swallow the pill
Quickly pull the trigger
I fought until the end
But I was still in control
No one will capture me
No one can kill me
I am Hitler
All I wanted was
Perfection.

I like this poem though i should hope you don't share Hitler's beliefs. Well done from his perspective.
